The CERT program in Vermont is governed by a State Director
and by the LEPC under the umbrella of the Citizens Corp.

During an activation, Liability Insurance is covered at the state level.
No liability is held by the requesting agency.

Cert’s are trained in standard ICS procedures, and will fall under the
command of the scene IC while maintaining independent
command and control over our team members.

Requests for aid may be made to a Town Team Leader
in your area, or to either of the County Directors.

Requests may be preplanned as in the case of a drill or public event,
or emergency in nature and may be made 24/7.

We hope to build and strong and beneficial relationship with all of the agencies
in our area and use the CERT program to the benefit of our local communities.
